We're here to help you get the most out of Popcall.

I'm not receiving Popcall notifications on my phone

If you have not installed the app, all your Popcall notifications will come through as SMS text messages with links to Popcall when you receive a new message or call.

Once you have installed the app, you will no longer receive SMS messages for most Popcall notifications, and instead you'll receive push notifications.

If you have installed the app, and still aren't receiving notifications, please try the following.

First, be sure to click "Enable Notifications" when you open your app for the first time.

Assuming you already have notifications turned on for your phone, the next step is to make sure your settings are optimized for the Popcall app. Please try the following:

iPhone

On your iPhone, go to Settings > Notifications > Popcall

("Popcall" will be towards the bottom of this page.)

Once you click into Popcall's notification settings page, we recommend setting your notification settings as is shown in the image below.

1) Make sure "Allow Notifications" is toggled on.

2) Set alerts for "Lock Screen", "Notification Center", and "Banners"

3) Set Banner Style to "Persistent"

4) Toggle on Sounds and Badges

We highly suggest setting Banner Style to "Persistent".

The default for most apps is to set this to "Temporary". This means the notification will pop up on your screen for a few seconds then go away. It's really easy to miss temporary notifications.

By setting your notification banner style to "Persistent", the notification will stay on your screen until you see it and either click it or swipe it away, ensuring that you see when new messages and calls come in.

Android

On your iPhone, go to Settings > Notifications > App Notifications > Popcall

(If you can't find "Popcall", be sure to change the dropdown filter to "All apps".)

Once you've clicked "Popcall", be sure to toggle on "All Popcall notifications", "General", and "Allow notification dot".

Next, click the word "General". This will open additional settings.

Be sure to toggle on "Pop on screen" and "Vibration".

Lastly, on that same screen, click "Lock Screen", and make sure "Show all notifications on lock screen" is selected.

If you still are having trouble receiving push notifications, please try deleting your Popcall app to receive SMS notifications instead.

If you don't have the app installed and still aren't receiving SMS notifications at all, please email us at [email protected].
